Two easy steps to feel secure in wind and waves. Or edging for a tight turn.
When you apply what you're about the learn, what emerges is you feeling stable in waves...
Or edging for a tight turn. Even if you're in steep waves.
It's for you if you have experience using the Greenland paddle, but you're not yet completely relaxed in rough water...
Or crossing eddylines...
Or turning your kayak in the waves.
I know it sounds simple but after 15 years of teaching this I can tell you that the only way you can can feel uncomfortable in the waves is if you are lacking in one of these 2 areas.
Feeling stable in the waves comes down to two steps. If you have both you're stable. But if you're missing one you probably don't feel at ease in all conditions.
You may dream of taking a kayak trip into the wild but worry because you're not sure you have the skills to keep yourself safe.
You're already using the Greenland paddle, and you are committed to developing the techniques that work well with it.
Even if it means trying something a little different, or contrary to what you already learned.
the Inuit have been developing sea kayaking for thousands of years. These techniques are not new.
But they're very new to most paddlers.
In fact if you have taken kayak lessons before you probably learned something that is preventing you from having good balance with your kayak.
What's holding you back is not a lack of skills. You're just missing some refinement in at least 1 of 2 areas.
1. The specific place your paddle needs to be for you to get support.
It's like when you balance on one foot. You feel a little wobbly, but if you just place 1 finger on something solid, like the wall, all of a sudden you're extremely stable. It's not a matter of skill or special talent...
Or practicing for years.
Having your paddle in the right place gives you that kind of easy stability.
2. The second thing is how to move your body naturally so you're always in the most powerful, stable, and comfortable position.
If you don't learn this, edging your kayak may feel hard or unstable.
When you move your body naturally there's no forcing anything. It feels smooth and relaxed.
And you feel in control.
Now is a great time to explore the wild. To have life changing adventures with a few friends.
Maybe you want to be in nature with the peace of mind that allows you to really feel like you belong there.
And to enjoy your vacation.
You may want to avoid a capsize instead of relying on getting back in your kayak.
Each week you get a few easy exercises to practice.
Some you can do from the comfort of your own home.
Some you practice on the water in your kayak.
At the end of each week, we have a zoom call to answer any questions, and make sure everyone has masterer the techniques before we move to the next lesson.
It's only available for Dancing With The Sea Club members so sign up here if you want to join.
If you're already a Club member just click "courses" on the menu, and join the "4 Week Challenge To Kayak Stability".
You have 7 days to try the club for free, look around, sign up for the challenge.
And if within 7 days you're not sure it's for you, simply ask to cancel and you never get charged.
Let's say you stay past the 7 days and you get charged...but you're not completely happy with the results you got.
Or you didn't have time to apply the new techniques.
Or you're not happy for any reason.
Just email me at [email protected], and ask for a refund.
You get every penny back. No questions asked.
That's my promise.
Why would I do that?
I know this helps people.
And if helping you means I take all the risk that's what I'm willing to do.
And I know that most people will stay and become a happy member of the Club.
If you can make the zoom call each week, that would be great.
If the timing doesn't work for you, send me any questions ahead of time, and I will answer them on the call.
And you can watch the recording.
Is this the quickest way to turn a regular kayaker into someone who exudes confidence? You be the judge...
You will need to do the exercises.
If you are not serious about putting in the practice time, it's not for you.
So with that understood, let me show you what the "Club" will do for you.
Step by step video lessons with exercise to practice will guide you there!

"The most useful thing that I have taken from these videos is that torso rotation really starts at the feet and involves the butt & hips more so then twisting at the waist or shoulders. My confidence in conditions and ability to maneuver my kayak is vastly improved. "
-Ryc Williamson
Portland, Washington
"Instead of controlling the boat your approach is more spiritual. It's different but allowed me more success and enjoyment.
Your segment on fitting the kayak changed my not being able to balance brace to success the first time after fitting the kayak. Also made a dramatic difference in success on the forward finishing roll. "
-Bill Faulkenberry
Chesapeake, Virginia
"It was difficult for me to let go of my Euro paddle techniques and my performance suffered from this. Paulo has opened another world for me with his patient teaching. I like the way the videos blend the use of rolling, bracing and sculling to form a solid set of skills that keep me from panic when I find myself in an unfamiliar, dynamic situation."
-Butch Chase

I started kayaking with a dream to explore the beautiful Gulf Islands. After a few scary crossings I realized I was far from having the skills to keep myself safe. I was practicing daily but not improving fast enough. The day I discovered the Greenland paddle and the traditional techniques was a life changer for me. I could not believe that most people are not using this timeless approach. Even without anyone teaching me I was rolling forward and back within a few months. And soon I could do what most paddlers can't. After 20 years of using the Greenland paddle exclusively, and sharing the techniques for others for 15 years, I have learned a lot about how to teach these skills to help people get quick results.
My favorite thing to do is helping paddlers like you go on life changing trips.
In a community of passionate kayakers
When you take a live kayak lesson, you get instant feedback. But then we forget some subtle distinction. Until the next lesson.
With videos you have a reference library to go back to and review anytime you like. But what if you are struggling with a technique, and you don't know where you're going wrong?
Imagine doing the course at your own pace.
Being able to go back and review it anytime you like.
And get feedback anytime you need it.
All courses progress paddlers from a beginner level through to advanced level-so all levels are good!
Yes there is an app which works very well to access the community and the courses.
The goal is to get you the skills. Just post a video or question, it's that simple.
